about us

The main objective of the project is to protect the Parque Nacional Madidi in Bolivia and to support the indigenous community of San José de Uchupiamonas. The project initiators are taking on the challenge of implementing environmentally friendly and sustainable practices in the eco-lodge and minimizing the project's ecological footprint.

Responsible on site

Andrés Apana Hinojosa, born and based in San José de Uchupiamonas, has many years of professional experience as a licensed tourism guide in the Parque Nacional Madidi.
He is particularly responsible for the local implementation of the project and the needs of the local indigenous community to ensure that their needs and concerns are adequately addressed. He is the direct contact person on site and looks after the well-being of the tourists.

Project supporter

The foundation of this project is a partnership with Richard Borrmann from Germany, who is actively supported by his family. His vision is driven by a deep commitment to nature, local communities, and the protection of the unique biodiversity of this fascinating ecosystem. In addition to promoting responsible tourism and ensuring sustainable environmental protection, the project also places a strong emphasis on social responsibility.

The Madidi Kullpana Ecolodge is characterized by its advantageous location in the immediate vicinity of Rurrenabaque.
