Birdwatching
Around 1,200 bird species live in the protected area, making it one of the most species rich birdwatching hotspots in the Amazon. Observe and listen to the songs of colorful macaws, parrots and toucans as well as numerous other tropical bird species in their natural habitat.

Lepidopterology
The protected area is home to over 1,500 species of butterflies and moths with exceptional diversity and ranks among the most important hotspots for lepidopterology in the Amazon. The natural habitat offers numerous opportunities to discover the many species.

Bolivia Wildlife
Near the ecolodge there are several natural salt licks that rank among the best observation sites in the region. Here you have the rare opportunity to discover over 270 mammal species, with a bit of luck even jaguars and numerous other wildlife species.

Through careful in-house roasting, an aromatic coffee with an authentic taste is created, which you can enjoy fresh on-site. ABOUT US
The Ecologde was built and is managed 100% by the indigenous community in the heart of Bolivia’s Parque Nacional Madidi.
It is an ideal place for wildlife viewing and serves as a starting point for a variety of hikes of different lengths. The ecolodge offers comfortable accommodation with swimming facilities along with delicious meals based on traditional rainforest ingredients. The staff are all local, bilingual (Spanish and English) guides with passion and expertise about the surrounding tropical rainforest.
