This exclusive Amazon program combines rainforest adventures in Madidi National Park with intensive wildlife observation in the Pampas del Yacuma, complemented by an optional two-day jungle survival tour. The starting point is Rurrenabaque. From there, you travel by boat along the Río Beni, visit a historic sugarcane mill with demonstration, and then hike to a viewpoint overlooking parrot nesting sites. The first night is spent at a remote jungle outpost with wide views over Madidi. As fireflies illuminate the forest and howler monkeys announce the morning, the wilderness becomes vividly tangible. The next day, you explore the Cañón del Bala with its steep rock formations and caves at the transition from the Andean foothills into the Amazon, home to numerous bat species. Afterwards, you continue to the indigenous protected area of San José de Uchupiamonas to the Madidi Kullpana Ecolodge. There, you discover the biodiversity of the rainforest on guided day and night walks, enjoy river bathing breaks, traditional fishing methods, and gain insights into natural crafts and regional cooking techniques. Optionally, you can choose a two-day jungle trek with an overnight stay in the forest. Together with experienced guides, you learn survival strategies of indigenous communities, from building a shelter to using natural resources. The program concludes with at least two days in the Pampas del Yacuma, one of the best areas in Bolivia for wildlife observation. During boat tours, you observe capybaras, caimans, anacondas, and pink river dolphins. Depending on the weather, you also visit Laguna Bravo for dolphin watching at sunrise or sunset. Your guide adapts the program flexibly according to your wishes.
